Airtel, Jio offering Rs 149, Rs 349 and Rs 399 plans: Which one is better?

Reliance Jio shook up the entire telecom space with its cheap and unlimited tariff plans. Jio was introduced back in September last year, and even since its arrival, the telecom operator that has managed to garner millions of customers has been giving sleepless nights to other telecom giants like Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea Cellular. Although the challenge is tough, the other telecom companies have managed to come up with several value-for-money data and voice calling plans to counter Reliance Jio. In regards to that, Bharti Airtel, one of the key players in the telecom space has now come up with several new tariff plans for its prepaid users.
Airtel has introduced several new ultra-low cost data and free voice call recharge packs for its prepaid users which start from a minimal amount of Rs 8 to Rs 399. The telecom operator has introduced a range of plans which includes - Rs 8, Rs 40, Rs 60, Rs 149, Rs 199, Rs 349 and Rs 399. To recall, Reliance Jio also offers Rs 149, Rs 349 and Rs 399 plans for its customers. So the question that arises here is, which one out of Airtel and Jio offers a better offer? Let's find out.
Airtel vs Jio: Rs 349 plan
Both Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio offers Rs 349 plan. This recharge pack is limited to the prepaid users only. Taking a detailed look at both the offerings, Airtel is offering unlimited local and STD calls to its users. Along with the voice calling facility, it is also offering 28GB of 4G data for 28 days. There's a daily FUP limit of 1GB for this Airtel plan.
Coming to Jio, it also offers a Rs 349 plan; again, this plan is also limited to the prepaid users only. Under the Rs 349 plan, Jio is offering unlimited voice calling (Local and STD) facility to its customers like Airtel. Jio is also offering 20 GB of 4G data for 56 days. This plan doesn't come with any FUP limit.
Airtel vs Jio: Rs 399 plan
Under the Rs 399 plan, Airtel is offering Rs unlimited voice calling facility, both local and STD to its prepaid users. It is also offering up to 84GB of 4G data for 84 days. The plan comes up with a daily FUP limit of 1GB. On the other hand, is also offering a similar plan. Jio under its Rs 399 plan is offering unlimited voice calling facility, both STD and local. It is also offering 84GB of 4G data for 84 days. This means that under the Rs 399 plan, both Airtel and Jio are offering almost the similar services to its customers.
Airtel vs Jio: Rs 149
Airtel and Jio are offering another similar price recharge pack. This is Rs 149 plan. Under this plan, Airtel is offering unlimited voice calling facility between Airtel to Airtel number (Local or STD). It is also offering 2GB of 4G data for 28 days. Coming to Jio, under the Rs 149 plan, Reliance Jio is offering unlimited voice calling facility across operators. It is also offering 2GB of 4G data for 28days. Both the plans are for prepaid users only.
Airtel introduces new plans for prepaid users
Bharti Airtel has come up with several new recharge plans for its prepaid users. The cheapest of them all is Rs 8 plan under which the telecom operator is offering Local+STD mobile calls 30piase/minute for 56 days. There seems to be no data offering with this plan. The cheapest data plan offered by Jio is worth Rs 19. Under the Rs 19 plan, Jio is offering unlimited voice calls and 200MB of 4G data for 1day.
Coming to the next plan, Airtel brings a Rs 40 plan under which it is offering Rs 35 talk time with unlimited validity. On the other hand, Jio is offering Rs 49 plan under which it is offering unlimited voice calling facility, 600MB of 4G data for 3 days. Airtel's new Rs 60 plan is offering Rs 58 talk time with unlimited validity with no data offerings. Bharti Airtel has also come up with another plan worth Rs 5, under which it is offering 4GB 3G and 4G data for 7 days. Note: This offer is valid only after 4G SIM upgradation and for one-time recharge only. Airtel brings Rs 199 under which it is offering unlimited local calls and 1GB 2G or 3G or 4G data for 28 days.
